About this product

Stunning fruit from a block of 15 year old Marsanne plantings in Colbinabbin, located on the banks of the Waranga-Mallee Irrigation Channel. The fruit was handpicked on 22 February, after two very hot weeks, and then processed the following day.

The whole bunches were lightly pressed to avoid potentially oily Marsanne characteristics and to promote freshness. Fermented in stainless steel, the wine was then transferred in to three old French oak Barriques.

Some of the barrels were allowed to go through Malolactic fermentation, resulting in buttery and rounded characteristics, with some held back to promote freshness. The wine was racked off lees, then cold stabilised. Bottling took place in early September.

A full bodied Marsanne, with flavours of apricot, honey and quince. A late harvest and full of structure.
