Patrick Of CoonawarraTwo Blocks Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
About this product
The aroma has a lifted perfume and is full of plum with a touch dark cherry fruit. The palate is bold and full, but has softness, spice and elegant tannins. An approachable Cabernet that will drink well now or cellar for up to 5 years
VINTAGE NOTE:
The season had a fantastic start, with generous Winter rainfall regenerating the aquifer and ensuring adequate subsoil moisture coming into Spring. We saw great canopy growth but a cool November delayed flowering and brought the bunch weights down to just below average. The majority of the state suffered from dry conditions, however our cool climate and on average rainfall kept the vines healthy and made for a long growing season, perfect for Cabernet.

Has the distinctive leafy DNA that is part varietal and part regional. Coonawarra brings both varietal definition and a distinctive elegance and charm to the cabernets in particular. Plenty of blackcurrant on the nose with a leafy sage bush lift. Grainy tannins and fined grained oak work into it. excellent wine. Cellar 10 years

Matured for 24 in (undisclosed origin) oak, 20% of which was new. It's a light, dusty expression of cabernet, not exactly fruit fresh but not tired either. Boysenberry and mulberry flavours flow with mint, earth and toast, a clove-like bitterness whispering through the aftertaste.
