Block 5 Aged Riesling

A tribute to Patrick Tocaciu, our founder, a master and lover of Riesling.  A Multi award winning wine and unique style, one that is rarely seen on shelves.  Grown in our northern most Coonawarra vineyard.  Block 5 Aged is only made in vintages that suit its style, it is bottled soon after harvest and cellared for a minimum of 5 years prior to release.  This wine showcases Rieslings natural journey from a fresh, fruity wine in its youth to a complex, textural and toasty Riesling in its age.  Cellar for as many years as you can resist, it will only get better.













Winemaker’s Note:



Fresh & fruity in it’s youth, now displaying the unique characteristics & distinguished flavours that a well made Riesling can. This Riesling has been cellared for 7 years before release and will live for another 20 plus.







Vintage Note:



The 2018 vintage was considered outstanding, with a warm, dry growing season and perfect ripening weather. An unusual November frost reduced croplevels, but what was picked was considered fantastic quality. An early picked, intense and short vintage.
