The Project D Shiraz is from dry-grown blocked that was planted in 1970s. The fruit was harvested when showing flavour of blackberry, pepper and spice. The wine was made with traditional open top fermenter and matured in a combination of new and used oak for 20 months.

From 50yo dry- grown vines, matured in new and second use French oak. Shows the depth and richness that old vine can impart. The usual Barossa Shiraz descriptions of plum and blackberry are in place and the oak is in evidence. The layered texture and length of flavour gives this wine some extra character.
