Kalos WinesKalos Cru Calixto Gran Reserva
About this product
100% Malbec
"This has a wealth of rich blackberries and ripe dark plums and arrives in smooth, essence-like mode on the palate with a very succulent plum core that holds long and fresh. Drink or hold" James Suckling
Best served at 16-18° C
When harvest, grapes are placed in 15-17 kilo plastic boxes. A 5-day cold pre-fermentative maceration at 8°C with a total maceration time of 20 days. Aging in French and American Oak for 18 months.
About the winery:
"Kalós" in Greek means "something of great beauty".
The Losada family decided to produce wines of the highest quality to pay tribute to the wine of the region and thank local people for their hospitality.
So, they selected the best grapes in Altamira and brought together winemakers Pablo Benavides and Fabián Valenzuela to make their wines. Not having a winery of their own , Kalós Wines is a project that honors Calixto, the Losada family’s grandfather, and the names of the wines have been inspired by stories from his life.
