Vintage 2016
95 points James Halliday Wine Companion
Some colour shift, the purple notes no longer evident. The wine is in the early days of very wide drinking window. Bright and seductively elegant fruit, tannins and oak in furious agreement with each other.

Fine-fingered, gently savoury, not too big, not too light. Slipped with fine-grained tannin, not ripped. Crushed cloves, lavender, red and black cherries, Aussie bush spice notes. The words fine-fingered keep popping into mind. What most impressed, especially once the wine had had a good chance to breathe, was the perfume, which is beguiling.
