David HookHunter Valley Pinot Gris 2023
About this product
Vineyard: The Pinot Gris grapes were grown ion the sandy loam flats of Belford. The grapes were ripe and full flavoured at harvest.
Winemakers notes: The handpicked fruit was gently whole bunch pressed and only the finest juice was barrel fermented in older French barrels, and stored on lees for 6 months prior to bottling.
Tasting notes: This wine is bright light yellow/green in colour with a clean fresh fragrance of pear and red apple. The palate is soft and rounded with a gentle texture and flavour due to the barrel fermentation and lees contact. The nutty overtones lead to a long lasting finish.
