Paisley WinesMixed by DJ Deadly Turntable GMS 2019
About this product
The colour is mid red, with the nose having lifted cherry ripe fruit, herbal notes and some attractive sweet spice characters. The medium bodied palate displays very typical Rhone blend characters with cherries, raspberries, mint, sage, dried oregano and thyme. The tannins are very soft and round and contribute to the overall juicy mouthfeel. There is impressive length of the cherry notes and savoury spice, making the wine very approachable and drinkable.

91 points The Wine Front
Given that Deadly Derek, maker of this wine, is known for his work at the turntable I keep wanting to say what a good groove it cuts, because it does. There are leather and iodine notes here, in among the mainstay of redcurrant and asphalt, which give this wine a weight, a presence. It’s easy to sink in and feel satisfied here. There are whispers of both mint and coconut here too, but they are whispers at most. It’s a well made wine, and well priced too.
