About this product
This range of wines, named after fashionable fabrics, feature theiconic paisley design for which the company is named.
Mataro is an undiscovered gem in the Barossa, a staple of Barossa winemaking for many generations which thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate of the region. The Denim Mataro encompasses all the wonderful varietal characters of Mataro. It is a medium red colour with lifted spice, earthy notes, raspberry and plum on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with great flavour intensity. Specifically raspberry fruit, some jubie notes, cherries, choc mint and eucalyptus. With typical textural Mataro tannins and a dense full palate, it goes well with all red meats. The wine is drinking beautifully now or can be cellared for up to ten years.
