Grown on the Glengarry vineyard in the Tamar Valley, Tasmania. Unfiltered and with minimal sulphur. 20 year old vines. Clear favourite of the three individual vineyard releases, 94-95 straight up, woodsmoke and undergrowth, red and black cherry, velvety texture but with a bit of grunt and grain in behind. The strings are pulled tight but it’s still juicy and generous. Yes. This is excellent.

It's a wild ride in a good way. This really is quite wonderfully complex. It tastes of forest berries and undergrowth, beetroot and sweet autumn leaves, cranberry and woodsy, smoky spice. It's well weighted without being overblown, strung with tannin without interrupting the flow. It will age well but it's highly seductive right now.
