This is a stunning rose made very much in the modern style. It’s pale copper and onion skin. The nose reveals a savoury, slightly dried herb character. A hint of strawberry and cherry with a subtle watermelon and cranberry nuance. The palate is texturally sublime. It got 50 % oak treatment and extended time on lees, contributing to a beautiful textural feel. Comes off 70-year-old Barossa vineyard at elevation. A first-rate rose.
