The oak adds complexity but does not dominate the wine which allows the lovely white peach and nectarine characters to be the main focus. We love it with slow cooked pork belly or whole roasted cauliflower.

Medium bodied white wines have a lightly textured mouthfeel with moderate flavour impact. Often pale lemon coloured to pale gold.

A hop, skip and a jump away from Beechworth are the Alpine Valleys, but this chardonnay is painted in stark contrast to its Beechworth brethren. It is altogether riper, softer and brimming with pear, apple and quince. The texture is gently sudsy, relying on assuaging phenolics for direction and poise, rather than acidity and mineral grunt.
