Open-fermented, aged in new and older French barriques for 16 months. Shows evidence of the the warm vintage on the bouquet with very ripe cherry aromas, and both sweet and peppery spice adding another element. Medium-bodied and quite soft on the palate, light astringency provides balance on the finish. It's in the 'good to drink-now or cellar' category.
