It has intense aromas of cassis, stewed plums, lavender, crushed berries, white spice, mulberries and a touch of minty chocolate. The palate is thickly textured with intense flavours of plum, caramelised onion, black pepper, blackberry, cassis and fountain pen ink with a hint of fresh capsicum and savoury umami undertones. The flavours blossom with a little air before drinking, so leave the bottle open for a while or decant before service.
