A timeless style of malt whisky, Balcones “1” Texas Single Malt breathes new life into centuries of distilling tradition with classic techniques and ingredients adapted for New World tastes. Opening aromas bear hints of toffee and overripe fruits. On the palate, layers of toasted malt and honey give way to mellow notes of baked pears and apples. Deep and rich full bodied whiskey. Not chill filtered and over proof at 53%. I thought this was a good buy. I will try more of them.

Having been to Texas and trying this last year it's great to see it back home.. Super juicy, big and bold 53%'er that drinks like silk, would buy again!

Foe a few dollars more you can have a Whiskey experience of a life time. This is truly a rare find, made in the USA its an amazing taste words can not justify this fabulous whiskey!

I first tried this a couple years back and its even better than I recall! A strong and smooth whisky made in the style of scotch in Texas. Great value to at this price.
