Distinction PointBarossa Valley Shiraz 2018
About this product
Distinction Point was made from fruit carefully selected from smaller sections of our premium low-yielding vineyards. Adequate winter rainfall, relatively dry conditions during flowering, and bunch set gave a good start to the vines.
Warm weather from January onwards till harvest formed perfect conditions for the grapes to ripen at an ideal pace. The grapes were hand-picked at optimum flavour ripeness and fermented in open vats for 10 days.
The ferment was hand plunged 4 times a day, followed by maceration up to 20 days to build structure.
The wine was matured in French oak barrels for 24 months. This wine is typical of the region, depicting intense varietal character.
