Gorgeously complex and engaging, the wine shows apricot, orange peel, mixed spice and roasted nut characters with nuances of oatmeal and dried floral. It's impressively concentrated on the palate displaying excellent depth and richness, wondeerfully complemented by silky texture and bright acidity. Firmly structured and persistent. a field blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Riesling; matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. At its best now to 2029.

Medium yellow colour, showing some development, with a complex, mellowing bouquet embracing nutty barrel fermented nuances plus poached stone fruits and cashew nuts. The typical pungency of NZ sauvignon is absent. It’s rich and soft, mouth-filling and balanced in the mouth. Slight impression of sweetness in the mid-palate is in harmony. An excellent wine, no single variety dominating.
