After a shy start this wine grew and grew on us. Fresh herb garden aromatics, roasted, earthy root vegetables, meatiness and roasted chestnut notes accompanied by the grenache-mandatory flavour of raspberries on a lovely compact and balanced palate had us haggling over who got to take the bottle home.

A very different vintage to the '17, this right in the mainstream of the resurrection of grenache from its days as purveyor of large amounts of fodder for fortified winemaking. It was a ripe year, but the wine hasn't lost its shape.
