Linkwood was founded in Speyside in 1821 by Peter Brown. In 1971, a new distillery equipped with four stills and named Linkwood Bwas added to the older distillery built in 1821 by Peter Brown, which was renamed Linkwood A. The two facilities worked as a pair until 1985 and then again from 1990 to 1996, before Linkwood A closed permanently. With absolutely remarkable finesse this Linkwood has an exceptional balance between influence from the first-fill bourbon casks and the distilleries spirit style. Expect Mirabelle plum, banana and honey on the nose with cinnamon, vanilla and candid lemon noted hovering seamlessly from palate to finish.
A reflection of the richness and diversity of Scotch Whisky, the Artist Collective range covers a wide variety of styles, maturations and regions in small batches selected every year from around a hundred samples. Even more ambitious than previous editions, this sixth collection is composed of eight single malts from Speyside, Highland and Islay, distilled between 2008 and 2013. Now one of the flagship ranges from La Maison Du Whisky and an amazing reflection of their ethos, skills and knowledge when it comes to bottling exceptional single malt whisky.
