South Australia's Limestone Coast is beginning to encroach on Coonawarra's uniqueness. There is no doubt that Coonawarra is this areas most renowned but coming from behind Padthaway, Wrattonbully, Robe and Mt Benson are all proving to be worthy contenders to the heavyweight title. Wines from the relatively new Mount Benson region, in the rugged, remote south east corner of South Australia, are making a great impact with wine critics and on the international wine show circuit.
