South Australia's Limestone Coast is beginning to encroach on Coonawarra's uniqueness. There is no doubt that Coonawarra is this areas most renowned region but coming from behind , Padthaway, Wrattonbully, Robe and Mt Benson are all proving to be worthy contenders to the heavyweight title. Wines from the relatively new Mount Benson region, in the rugged, remote south east corner of South Australia, are making a great impact with wine critics and on the international wine show circuit. The grapes were sourced from Andrew and Melinda Murdocks' state of the art vineyards. These vineyards were planted specifically to Cabernet Sauvignon as this area has the closest degree/ day summation statistics to Bordeaux as it is possible to find in South Australia.
Medal Tally: 1 Silver 3 Bronze Medals

Bronze Medal - Royal Melbourne Wine Awards 2019
