The grapes for this wine come from bush vines that grow low to the ground, often without trellis support and have a bushy appearance. They have less foliage and less fruit, the advantage of bush vine fruit is that it is very intense in its concentration of flavour and lower yields imparts even further complexity and richness. Old vines such as these are very fragile and must be hand harvested to protect our unique heritage. Mum's Block is considered one of the icon wines from the area. The wine has been bottled well in advance of its release date to allow bottle maturation and flavour development that will mean a lengthening the palate.
Medal Tally: 1 Silver Medals
Other Awards: Silver Medal - London Wine Competition 2021.
