This wine has been named after the vineyard where the fruit was sourced, "the Shark Block". This vineyard was so named whilst a well was being sunk in 1989 and a one and a half inch fossilised sharks tooth was found, believed to be the remains of a Great White Shark. The discovery should not be a surprise as McLaren Vale has always produced great whites and reds renowned for being at the cutting edge! This wine is no exception!!
