About this product

From Mudgee, NSW
Rich varietal fruit characters
Wild Rice and Mushroom Stuffed Peppers
Region: Mudgee, New South Wales.
Colour: Deep magenta.
Nose: Lifted aromas of ripe dark berries, cassis and a very light touch of earthiness - very typical of the region. Extended oak maturation has added a cedary edge to the bouquet which is very enticing.
Palate: This is a wine with tremendous cellaring potential. The palate is young right now - tightly structured with potential to open up into an outstanding aged wine. Rich varietal fruit characters of ripe blackcurrant and earthy notes.. Well integrated oak provides depth and complexity, offering tightly grained tannins and cedar wood nuances. The flavour is long and lingering with a delightful fruit and oak tannin backbone.
Oak: Subtle use of oak.
Food Match: Roast beef rump with rich onion gravy.
Winemaker: Mark Jamieson
Drink Until: 2024
