The Story of Mr Pickwick and his particular Tawny - Whether it's "Mrs Winkle returns under extraordinary circumstances" - "The Card room at Bath" or "Mr. Bob Sawyer's mode of travelling," Charles Dickens penned the diary of the day through his fictional but immortal Mr. Pickwick. This respected venerable notary and lover of human cosiness presented HIS Club and HIS particular Rare Tawny. Mr Pickwick's Tawny is widely regarded as Australia's definitive tawny. Its average age of over 21 years makes it unique amongst fortified wines consistently available on a commercial basis. Mr Pickwick's is a distinguished wine, rounded and mellowed that can only come from great age and a long period of maturation in small oak casks. It is this which enhances the bouquet, develops the rich tawny colour and deepens the palate.
