An impressive number of 'crus', or different vineyard growths (between 50-60), are combined in the cuvee. The must (grape juice) from each vineyard is village is vinified separately in order to provide an exceptionally wide selection for the crucial blending process. Significantly, Lanson avoids malo-lactic fermentation. This choice preserves the freshness and fruitiness of the wine and allows them to age better for a longer period of time. This distinctive feature of Lanson allows the wine to develop all their fullness and highlights the richness of their palate aromas.
