SeedlingLimestone Coast Pinot Gris 2018
About this product
The Robe GI is situated on the Southern Ocean, 100kms due west of Coonawarra. The region has developed it's own style of delicate, cool climate, maritime influenced wines which have received critical acclaim by wine professionals and are beginning to gain consumer awareness. The climate is well suited to Pinot Gris allowing a slower ripening period for the delicate variety to develop ideal flavour and structure.
The 2018 vintage was outstanding across all regions of the Limestone Coast. Near perfect growing and ripening conditions ensured optimal flavour and ripeness at harvest.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium intensity straw with a faint pink hue.
Nose: Enticing, lifted aromas of spice, apple, nashi pear and cumquat zest.
Palate: A generous and flavoursome combination of apple, pear and lychee all contribute to the classic textural qualites of the Gris style.

Vintage 2018
92 points
A well put together pinot gris with accurate varietal flavours of pear and apple, lovely minerality, good fruit weight and a creamy textural feel. It's fresh, bright and interesting.

Elegantly fruited and delicately expressed, the charming bouquet shows Gala apple, nectarine, grapefruit and fresh pear characters, followed by a vibrant palate that is juicy and finely textured. It is bright and pristine with youthful fruit intensity, finishing long and mouth-watering. At its best: now to 2022.
