Matured for 24 months in French oak (50% new). While cabernet has a proclivity towards oak, in this case, the oak just wins out over the ripe fruit. The combination of the 2 will see it through a long life, but the oak is a bit assertive for short-term pleasure. Otherwise all things in place, and from a near-perfect vintage.
