Spiffing this is. Silky, medium weight, perfumed, shows good spice character, purity, or sense of, of shiraz in tow. Red berries, cranberry even, tangy acidity, good swish of light tannins for guidance. Good length, good presence in palate, a sense of quiet elegance to this wine. It’s punching above its weight. Seems destined for bistros and by-the-glass, over cellars. Go forth, this is good drinking.

The H Series hits all the right notes, and the syrah may well be the finest of the trio. Fidelitous to its Hills origins, with a marrow of cherry cola etched with herbal tannins and a peppery skein of acidity. A smudge of black olive, a lilac whiff and smoked meat, too. All tactile enough, while hedging this mid-weight into eminently drinking category. Nothing hard nothing out of place.
