From the Valleyfield Vineyard, hand-picked, open-fermented, gentle plunging, pressed to French oak (10% new). Exceptional power from young vines (the second commercial vintage) and gentle handling in the winery. May need a gentle hand down the track for best results.

Medium to light colour, bright, with purple tinges, the bouquet also fresh and bright with Campari-like balsamic herb notes. The palate is finely-structured and intense, with precision and balance. The linearity appeals as does the lingering finish. Very fine. A D-clone wine?
