93 Points
Ensconced on their vineyard in the unlikely region of Longford in Northern Tasmania, the Stewarts of Valleyfield Bell and Gong have a clear passion for pinot noir. 6 pinot clones are grown on their property, including the fabled Abel clone, which is a component of this 2017 vintage wine. You will be impressed by a very convincing expression of the variety, by its vibrancy and sure winemaking, but most of all by the complex strawberry/cherry/mulchy flavours to be found. A nicely polished, solid wine from an emerging producer.
