Select harvester with berry sorting in the vineyard, open-fermented with cultured yeast, 10 days on skins, matured for 17 months in French (40% new). Given that the wine is only medium-bodied, the decision to use so much new oak for 17 months, the impact is obvious - less would have been better. On the plus side is the fragrant bouquet and the superfine tannins.
