Oak Maturation Small percentage barrel aged to add complexity and depth to the palate.
Aroma Raspberry and Mulberry.
Palate Well-defined palate, raspberry, mulberry and bay leaf.
Winemaking Picked as cold as possible and gently crushed to assist in the cold soak before fermentation. Fermentation is carried out in small temperature controlled open fermenters. Gentle extraction was achieved by daily draining of wines from the skins and returning back over. After two weeks in the oak fermenters, the wine was pressed to French oak Barriques and stainless steel tanks to complete the primary and malolactic ferment.

This well constructed, gold medal winning red represents excellent value for money. Distinctly regional flavours of bay leaf and sage provide a tasty condiment to the plump red fruit and plum flavours. The wine glides easily across the palate and provides excellent complexity at this price.
