SweetwaterSemillon
About this product
Sweetwater Vineyard grapes are hand picked on land that has been the setting, since 1844, for one of the oldest known vineyard sites in the Lower Hunter Valley. Grown in ancient red soils, nourished by local clear waters and blessed by Australia’s abundant and constant sunshine, this Sweetwater Semillon is produced in typical Hunter style without oak influence.
Harvested in the cool of early morning before sunrise.
The juice was quickly pressed and fermented using wild yeast populations.
THE WINE
2019 was a very warm dry vintage following on from a similar experience in 2018.
This resulted in a smaller than normal crop.
The fruit harvested in late January was very evenly ripe however.
Aromatics of lemon and thyme with a grapefruit dominated palate and a crisp lingering finish.

Vintage 2019
93 points THE REAL REVIEW
Fragrant white flowers and lime zest. The palate keeps that bright and fragrant feel rolling, with those white flowers and limes mingling with some flinty notes. A zip of acid keeps the line in check and flowing into the finish. A lovely glass on a hot day
