Price's WinesAlicante / Malbec 2019
About this product
The Price’s No. 6 is an innovative and rare red blend combining the best of ripe velvety Malbec and fruit-rich Alicante, grown in the same vineyard in McLaren Vale. Made from 80% Alicante Bouschet and 20% Malbec, this limited release is light and bright on the palate. The soft and juicy Alicante is complimented by the rich Malbec flavours of ripe red and black fruits. This is the perfect year-round red. Best served lightly chilled.
Colour: Purple red hues, with some light pale edges.
Nose: Slightly perfumed with fragrant red fruits with soft legs shows the 11 % alcohol.
Palate: There are some sour cherry notes, with some smooth savoury touches and slight green hints showing. The medium-length leads to a semi-dry finish with some nicely balanced acid, making it very approachable as a drink-now wine.

An intriguing blend offering bright fruit notes of spiced cherry, apricot and apple with mixed spice and floral nuances. The medium-bodied palate displays juicy fruit flavours and smooth mouthfeel, well supported by refreshing acidity and mellow tannins, finishing fruity and silky. At its best: now to 2025.
