About this product

From a single block on the old Romano Vineyard this is McLaren Vale Shiraz at its best. It opens with briary fruits, subtle spice and musk, then draws you in with dark berry flavours and firm yet elegant tannins.

VINIFICATION
7 day open ferment with regular pump over. 12 months in new (30%), 2 year old (40%) and 3 year old (30%) French oak. Bottled without fining or filtration.

NOSE
Varietal aromas of dark berries and vanilla, with musk, spice and chocolate playing a supporting role.

PALATE
Flavours of plum, blackberry conserve and coco powder. Some spice and a touch of earth. Soft and plush in the middle, with gentle but persistent tannin giving a long finish. The quintessential McLaren Vale Shiraz.
