Small components of merlot and cabernet franc. Fruit from a mix of blocks around Margaret River. Matured for 16 months in French oak barriques. Salted licorice and aniseed lace the blackberry fruit. The wine is soft and plump, the oak creates frame and shape around it in the mouth. There's a gravelly, ferrous character through the finish which elevates the experience.
