On skins for 15 days, matured for 18 months in a combination of French and American oak. Gorgeous. Oak is evident, but the fruit has so much exuberant concentration that it hardly matters. This is a deeply satisfying rendition of Coonawarra shiraz. The brightness of the fruit is almost addictive, and very attractive. Hedonistic, but classy.

Wonderfully structured and engaging, the wine shows blackberry, spicy oak, cumin, thyme and game notes on the nose, followed by a refined palate that's beautifully weighted and persistent. It's plump and generously textured with a lengthy delectable finish.
