About this product
This vineyard has flourished since the 13th century. At that time the monks at the nearby Benedictine Monastery tended the vines and continued to do so for many centuries.
Fast forward to 2015 and we have a vineyard where winemaker Stephane Defraine has modernised techniques and tended the 80 acres dedicated to Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The history of this site is alive in the gravel and clay dominated soils that contribute to the complexity of this wine. Composed of mostly Merlot, this wine is elegant and harmonious.
It is a very pleasant ruby color and is elegant and round on the palate with a fine, lingering finish. Well-structured and full bodied at a good value price.
