Domaine de l'AnciennMonbazillac l'Abbaye 2005 (Botrytised) 500mL
About this product
Early in the 20th century the wines of Monbazillac were considered (and fetched the same prices) as the famous chateaux of Sauternes. Possessing an exceptional terroir and microclimate suitable for the production of late harvest wines we now see why the critics are whispering about the “new” sauternes. The wines of Domaine de l’Ancienne Cure are made with passion, attention to quality and considered amongst the best in the region.
The handpicked botrytis affected grapes are of very good quality and produce complex and concentrated sweet fruit on the palate with an extraordinary mouth feel, length and balance.
