This year's Christmas release is a combination of four Australian Tawny Casks.
The core of the whisky is two 100L Tawny casks that were matured for around six years and provide a great depth and complexity of flavour with great integration between the spirit and the oak. We have paired these older 100L casks with two younger 20L casks that provide balance and brightness to the whisky.
We have selected these casks because they create a flavour profile that we found reminiscent of Christmas, with plenty of Plum Pudding, Florentines, and Brandy Custard.
As with every Christmas release from OKD, we have endeavoured to create a whisky that is perfect for sharing with family, friends, and any surprise guests that come together over Christmas.
