St Johns WineMargaret River Reserve Shiraz 2019
About this product
This Shiraz is intense and complex, featuring a rich blend of blackberries, cherries, and figs, intertwined with notes of liquorice, mocha, star anise, and a hint of black pepper. The wine’s underlying power is evident, with deep fruit flavours and fine tannins perfectly balanced. Freshness adds elegance and refinement, while the oak integrates seamlessly, leading to an impressively long finish. A serious yet delicious Shiraz that will age beautifully.

“Matured 14 months in a combination of French and Hungarian oak (50% new). 2018 once again strikes with brilliant ripeness and concentration of fruit. However, even this was not enough to overcome the generous dose of oak. The well-handled fruit speaks of raspberry, mulberry, satsuma plum and blueberry, all with an exotically spicy flourish. The shapely tannins through the finish, in combination with the ripe fruit suggests this will be a decent medium-term cellaring proposition". Erin Larkin.
