St Johns BrookMargaret River Reserve Shiraz 2016 750mL
About this product
Aromas of bright boysenberry, blood plums and liquorice. Classy oak adds mocha and spice to palate that's bursting with luscious fruit. Medium bodied with soft tannins and a lingering finish.

More oak on this as the moniker ‘Reserve’ so often implies. It doesn’t work as well as the cabernet of the same tier, but boasts a density of fruit and intensity of flavour that copes with it reasonably well. Blue fruits, a telltale skein of pepper grind acidity, iodine and a bulwark of cedar-vanillin oak. Time will attest to the capacity of this wine to grow in stature. At this stage, I much prefer the Single Vineyard cuvee. Drink by 2027.
