The BlackwoodWestern Australia El Toro Tempranillo 2015 750ml
About this product
Bright purple, with lifted violets on the nose and underlying aromas of earthy black olives, wonderful fruity spice on the palate and typical fine but tight tannins and a full length finish.
Hand picked, hand plunged in open top one tonne fermenters, straight to seasoned oak barrels for 8 months to ensure fruit freshness, minimally filtered to retain the tannin structure.
This is a tightly structured Tempranillo that captures many of the essential characters of this Spanish variety. Dusty earthy raspberry notes on the nose with a subtle sweet candy confectionery character to it. The palate is flavorsome with supple tannins and a dab of oak that brings structure. Cellar 6 years. 91 points Ray Jordan, West Australian Wine Guide 2016
