About this product
Sourced from the oldest block on the Curator Vineyard near the township of Marananga on the West side of the Barossa Valley and hand made by vigneron and winemaker Tom White.
This small batch wine shows exceptional dark fruit and licorice backed up by the finest French oak - mixing power and elegance.
Only 1600 bottles of this special wine were produced.
For those interested in the winemaking:
The hand-picked grapes had a two to three day cold soak then naturally fermented using indigenous yeasts. The ferment was hand plunged two to three times daily for approximately ten days. Then basket pressed and filled into French oak (85% new) for three weeks barrel fermentation followed by 24 months barrel maturation.
