Vignerons ArdéchoisChardonnay Gravette Vin de Pays de l'Ardèche 2019
About this product
A fresh, clean and fruity white from the Cevennes mountains. This Chardonnay Gravettes is cultivated in the heart of the Ardeche region, a vineyard marked by its cool climate and high altitude. The gravettes are white stones which are flush with the ground on the Ardèche clay-limestone plateaus. They offer this Chardonnay an exceptional terroir. This cuvée is the fruit of rigorous work: limited yields, harvest at full maturity at the coolest hours of the day… Only the juice of drops and first press are kept. Vinification is traditional with temperature control during fermentation. A second fermentation (malolactic) is generally sought, to extract flesh and complexity, before aging on lees.

Full bodied white wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with good palate weight and full flavours.

Bettane & Dessauve - 14/20 - “Pale yellow color with brilliant reflections. Discreet nose with hints of honey and lime that opens with oxygen. A supple and delicate attack. Lots of citrus and sweet spices, very fresh on the finish. "Tasted par Fabrice Sommier - Best Craftsman of France in the Sommelier Category.
