Awarded with a “Coup de cœur" (= favourite) prize by the 2018 guide of prestigious "Revue des vins de France", the Domaine Emile Beyer is a true rising star in the Alsace region. The Beyer family is established in Eguisheim since 1580 and the 14th generation is now taking care of the 17 hectares of the domain. Among the best slope in Alsace the grand cru transcend the grape variety for give great wine for laying down. The Vendanges Tardives are very rare, they are wines with an outstanding richness and concentration. Produced from over-ripened grapes with Botrytis, these nectars need patience and deep know-how. Concentration, intensity and aromatic complexity are key elements of these exceptional wines that are only produced in a few vintages. It displays a golden yellow color, a seducing nose with pronounced and subtle spiciness: ginger, cinnamon, cardamom intermingling with inviting exotic scents. The palate is dense with a “baroque” mouthfeel with zests and layers of honey, tropical fruit imprinted with spices such as cinnamon and ginger powder. This wine possesses a beautiful saltiness and a long lasting finish.
