Dry, Full Bodied style of SyrahJean-Luc Colombo has forged an international reputation as one of the most visionary and imaginative winemakers in France’s Rhône Valley and especially in Cornas. “Les Ruchets (The Beehives) is a vineyard planted with very old Syrah vines - up to 90 years old. This parcel is located in the heart of Cornas surrounded by juniper bushes and live oaks. It benefits from a granitic subsoil and eastern exposure. A “Grand Vin“ well-structured and elegant with the potentail to age for many years. Gently matured for two years in oak barrels to release its terroir-driven profile, it offers aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and violet, soft spices and pepper. It truly represents the signature wine of our domaine. The ultimate wine share over dinner with friends. Delicious with most game, such as wild duck rubbed with crushed spices, but also superb with a roasted tenderloin steak. Certified Organic. 100% Syrah.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
