About this product

More than 128 years after Alexander Campbell Johnston planted his first small vine cutting, the Johnston family still produce estate grown wines and operate one of Australia’s oldest wineries- PIRRAMIMMA.
The inaugural release of our aperitif style Sparkling Cuvée is a delicate and complex blend of 60% Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and 40% McLaren Vale Pinot Noir.
The much cooler Kuitpo Hills Chardonnay fruit, planted 30 years ago on the Johnston property at 340m altitude, displays green apple crunch, lemon citrus notes and clean acidity with a fine bead. The Pinot Noir adds a touch of weight to the mid palate, strawberries on the nose and integrates itself effortlessly. Together they work in harmony to deliver the perfect pre- dinner aperitif that finishes with good length and a dry finish. Will reward mid-term ageing.
