Here's a model hand crafted Hunter Valley shiraz. Classically medium bodied and balanced with Hunteresque, savoury raspberry fruit and mature notes of A grade leather. It's in a wonderful drinking window right now and reminiscent, strangely, of very good chianti.

No magic in the winemaking, just that of the '14 vintage. A supremely elegant light to medium-bodied wine, deceptively ready to drink now with its supple array of red fruits and gentle tannins. A great bargain.
